Hi! I’m Amparo,

Amparo's journey began at the age of 8 when her family made the move to New York City. As the eldest of six siblings, she learned the importance of hard work and resilience from her blue-collar parents. Inspired by her father's words, " life gets tough, the tough get going," Amparo embraced her education, earning two undergraduate degrees from the CUNY system and a Master's in Special Education from Manhattan University. With over 25 years of teaching experience in the NYC Department of Education, she continues to make a difference in the Bronx, where she resides today.
